09 Feb, 2026Brahmacharini Shubhani Chaitanya will be conducting Vedanta Study Group online via Zoom video conferencing. The Zoom link to join the online session will be sent to registered participants. Note: Students of the current Bhagavad Gita Chapter 10 Class do not need to register again. Chapter 11 builds on the previous chapter, in which Śrī Kṛṣṇa described all his vibhūtis to Arjuna as a means to cultivate bhakti. In this chapter, Arjuna is granted a divine vision to perceive Lord Kṛṣṇa full infinite cosmic form. Śrī Kṛṣṇa then goes on to instruct that only those who have full devotion similar to Arjuna can see and attain union with Bhagavān. The Gita is one of the most widely translated and commented upon scriptures of the world. It is a revelation to humanity by Lord Krishna to Arjuna, a friend and disciple at a critical moment of his life. It is a universal scripture containing various strands of teachings suited to all types of people at their stages of development. It teaches the Supreme Goal to be attained as well as the means for attaining it. Please join us for the 2026 CHYK/CSK East Coast Retreat on the theme of 'Sacred Secrets'. This retreat will be based on five key verses of the Bhagavad Gita -- or the Gita Panchamrit. Gita Panchamrit is a sacred sādhanā that marks 75 years of the Chinmaya Mission Movement by inviting seekers to immerse in the timeless nectar of the Bhagavad Gītā. With five powerful ślokas at its heart, this year’s theme will impart Chinmaya Yuva Kendra and Chinmaya Setu Kari with the Gītā’s enduring essence. In addition to the discourses on the five verses, we will have workshops, yoga, games, plenty of opportunities for introspection, and a bonfire! We are very fortunate to have Brni. Shubhani Chaitanya, our resident brahmacharini of Chinmaya Mission New York, guiding us through the retreat and leading the discourses. Learn more about our wonderful Brni. Shubhaniji at : https://chinmayanewyork.org/staff-page/brahmacharini-shubhani-chaitanya/ We truly hope you can join us and if you have any questions - please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at kumar.devika99@gmail.com.

25 Apr, 2026Description: There is a trial Bala Vihar session scheduled on Saturday, April 25 for new families who wish to sign up for the academic year 2026-2027. This session will take place in person on the Upper East Side. Attending a Bala Vihar session provides new families with the opportunity to experience general assembly, parent satsang, and children’s classes, as well as meet members of the community. Prior registration is mandatory for attending trial class. Registration is first come, first serve for the trial date. All classes except for Shishu Vihar are drop off. During classes, parents will attend a parent orientation. Shishu Vihar is a parent-child class, so one parent must accompany children in the Shishu Vihar class. The other parent should plan to attend the parent orientation. In order to accommodate the large number of families interested in registering for Bala Vihar trials, we ask that you make every effort to attend the trial date for which your family is registered unless there is an emergency or sickness. Please register your child for the class of their current grade - except for 4 year olds entering Kindergarten in Fall 2026. Pre-K students who will be in Kindergarten in Fall 2026 should register for ABC Safari.
